- BA degree with emphasis on quantitative analysis (i.e. statistics, econometrics, mathematical modeling, data mining, computer sciences, marketing) required or 4 years related external experience OR 2 years related Ingram Micro experience. MS/PHD/MBA preferred.
- Minimum of 6 years experience in analysis of large data sets, focused on mathematical modeling, statistical modeling or data mining.
- At least 4 years of supervisory experience.
- Expertise in major data mining platforms and applications (i.e. IBM Intelligent Miner, SAS Enterprise Miner);
- Experience using major statistical analysis packages (i.e. SPSS, SAS Stats);
- Strong working knowledge of relational databases and database management (i.e. DB2, MS SQL Server);
- Advanced skills in MS Excel, MS Access, SQL. Extensive knowledge of commonly used marketing principles and techniques.
- Skill in: Working with data in a highly analytic environment; working with data in a cross platform environment;
- Excellent computer application skills and an expert in MS Excel, Access, and SQL;
- Movement and manipulation of data in a server environment.
- Ability to: Work in a cross functional environment, experiment in new areas of knowledge management, communicate effectively, drive analysis projects to completion under deadlines, and understand the appropriate use of data. Occasional travel required.
